Eligible Employees

All active regular full-time employees who are scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible to participate in LPL Financial’s benefits program. New hires have 30 days from their date of hire to enroll in LPL Financial benefits.

Eligible Dependents

You may cover your eligible dependents under LPL Financial’s medical, prescription, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits. During enrollment, you will be asked to certify that your dependents meet the requirements for coverage as eligible dependents.

Your eligible dependents include:

  • Spouse or domestic partner (same or opposite gender)
  • Your child(ren) and your covered spouse’s or domestic partner’s child(ren) up to age 26
  • Unmarried children of any age if they depend on you for support due to a physical or mental disability which commenced before the limiting age

After you enroll your dependent(s), you must upload documentation into ADP (i.e., marriage certificate, birth certificate, Domestic Partner Affidavit with documentation, court order, etc.) to verify that your dependent(s) met the eligibility requirements for coverage.

Eligibility Date

LPL employee benefits are effective on the first day of the month following your date of hire. For example:

  • If your date of hire is January 31st, benefits will commence on February 1st.
  • If your date of hire is February 1st, benefits will commence on March 1st.

Regardless of your hire date within the month, benefits commence on the first of the month following your date of hire.

Note: Eligibility for Tuition Assistance and LPL’s 401(k) match begins once you have been employed for 6 months.
